You are invited to an enchanting evening of music, culture, art, and cuisine at the Embassy of Ethiopia. This is a wonderful opportunity to discover beautiful Ethiopia! The evening begins with a short presentation about Ethiopia’s heritage, culture, geography, and people. Afterwards sit back and relax to a delightful performance by Ethiopian Singer, Queen of Bati. After the concert you will be invited to feast on a buffet of traditional Ethiopian delicacies along with wine served at the open bar. A traditional coffee ceremony will also be presented.
The evening also provides you with the opportunity to meet diplomatic personnel at the embassy as well as International Club of DC members in attendance.

$30 Late admission tickets with admission at 9:00 PM. Join us for admission after dinner to take part in the black tie gala reception with an open bar and dancing to music by a live orchestra. Due to limited capacity for the dinner reception, we are pleased to make available few tickets for admission at 9:00 PM.
$49 General admission tickets: Admission at 7:30 PM for the Black Tie Gala with dinner reception, cultural presentation, followed by dancing to the music of a live orchestra. Please reserve your tickets soon, as space is limited and we are able to accommodate only a limited number of attendees. |

Merity Legesse was born in the province of Wollo, Ethiopia. Wollo is considered to be the cradle of immaculate beauties. Marity is among those who are blessed with charming beauty and exquisite voice. Her talent astonished many while she was singing in different occasions and holiday gathering since her childhood. Marity is a founding member and role artist the “lalibela Kinet” group and the “Wollo Cultural Center” and played a vital role in elevating the group to the National standard. She was repeatedly part of the best-selected artist in the country and participated in different tours in Sudan to Europe and North America. Among which she was the famous “People to People” worldwide cultural tour representing her country as a cultural ambassador.
